Nickel Teflon Plating ®
This unique process is designed to deposit a consistent amount evenly dispersed Teflon throughout the hard nickel matrix.
NicoPTFE has the same benfits as our other electroless nickel plating processes, with 100% uniformity over the entire surface, an exellent bond strength to the base material and a surface hardness of between 62 and 68 Rockwell C, but has an added benefit of the Teflon giving it unmatched qualities.
A notable feature of NicoPTFE is it's dry lubricating surface providing very, very low friction values. This is far superior to any other plating process and with it's excellent release or "anti stick" ability, NicoPTFE can be applied to plastic injection and rubber moulds, helping with the release of the parts and eliminating the need for silicon release sprays. NicoPTFE is used in many different areas such as Automotive, Food processing, Medical, Textile, Electronics and Engineering to name a few.
NicoPTFE can be plated onto a wide variety of base metals such as all High and Low Carbon Steels, Aluminium, Copper and Copper Alloys, Brass, Hardened Steels including Nitrided Steels, Stainless Steel and many more.
